Tom Oswald

Tom joined Federal Way Toastmasters nine years ago, shortly after beginning his career in the Accounting and Finance field with Weyerhaeuser Company.  His experience with the Communication and Leadership program has contributed in many ways to his career advancement, and will continue to do so in the future.  He is currently a Financial Analyst with Weyerhaeuser.

Tom has held club offices of President, VP Membership, and currently serves as VP Public Relations and Sergeant at Arms.  Tom has also served our district, District 32 Toastmasters, as District Secretary, Area Governor, Club Mentor and is currently serving as Division D Governor.  He is also a member of Timber Talkers Club, Civil Talk Club, and Pursuing Perfection Advanced Toastmasters Club.

Why so much Toastmasters, you may ask?  It's the people Tom meets, works with, learns from, and helps support and encourage that energizes him and keeps him coming back.  He also finds great value in exploring the many, many growth opportunities that Toastmasters has to offer, and still learns something new at every single club meeting.

Beyond Toastmasters, Tom enjoys travel (most recently to China), singing with Cora Voce community choir and Tacoma Opera Chorus, enjoys his dogs Sadie, Jasmine, Strider and Gleek, and continues to find ways to avoid completing the restoration of his turn-of-the century home in North Tacoma.
